Our history
An original practice was formed in 2002 by two prominent local M&E Engineers looking to provide a more effective service to clients, developing our knowledge of budget focused design and assisting the M&E team with advice during construction (a somewhat different and more inclusive role than the traditional companies we worked for). We felt that a ‘hands off’ or purely critical role caused unnecessary conflict and costs, in many cases unseen by clients and taken as the ‘norm’ even today. During the initial years we were also involved with CIBSE where one of the Directors became Chairman of the West Midlands Region.
Our first office was in Kings Heath where we quickly expanded from 2 to 6 engineers, and a year later we moved to a 1200sq.ft office unit on the Aston Fields Trading Estate near Bromsgrove. At Bromsgrove we increased to 14 engineering staff leading up to the 2008 crunch, after which we re-structured and moved to George St in Birmingham closer to many other industry professionals. We have now been at Kenyon Forge for the past 11 years during which time we have expanded to 15 engineering staff.
