UTC have been established in the area for many years, as one of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defence products, as well as a major supplier to international space programmes.
The Challenge
The brief was to consolidate over 150 staff from three local offices, with the building designed to meet the business’s growing requirements over the next 10 years; therefore, futureproofing was a key focus for the design.
The Solution
Syntegral is proud to have designed this Grade ‘A’ modern Research and Technology building equipped with the latest technologies for flexible working.
The design team future-proofed the M&E systems, enhancing them with the capability to house 20% more staff than local competing buildings.
Electric car charging points have been installed in the car park with the ability to be extended as the demand for electric vehicles increases.
Super-fast broadband has been provided across the estate for data-intensive applications and enhanced productivity.
We are really pleased to be moving to a building that will provide an excellent environment for our employees and our research activities. This new facility will provide a showcase for customer visits and should support future growth.
